Field Notes

Description:

An unmistakable species; with a pale grey dorsal band running longitudinally from the anterior edge of the thorax to the tip of the abdomen. Forewing apex strongly falcate; upperside with a characteristic diffuse green band running obliquely across from the inner margin to the apex; discal spot a minute but conspicuous black dot. Upperside of thorax and abdomen with a conspicuous pale grey longitudinal band.

Wide distribution in most countries of Asia from India to Japan and China to Indonesia and countries in between them.

Notes:

Was taking pictures of this Green Pergesa Hawkmoth when it flew off and landed on my body, so decided to slowly placed it on my finger for a pic with the night view of my hometown :D
