Description:

These Stilt Legged Flies with strange heads are often called Gas Mask Flies. This one has a bright red head. About 1 cm long. Family Micropezidae.

Habitat:

Garden lights, semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, 2,200 meters.
