Field Notes
Description:
White heron with buff plumes and a yellow bill. Seemed to have yellow legs with brownish feet.
Habitat:
This bird was found in a park in San Antonio, Texas.
Notes:
This bird was walking in and along a small stream. It was very interesting to watch it catch small insects as it walked along. Before capturing its' prey it would move its' neck almost mimicking the movements of a snake.
