Description:

Low shrubby plant with woolly hairs on leaves and stems. Divided leaves, tall bare flower stems with yellow composite flowers.

Habitat:

Sandy soil in open shrub-steppe.

Notes:

John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, Sheep Rock Unit. Blue Basin Overlook.
