Description:

The oriental Region such as India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, China, Taiwan, Andamans, Nicobars and extend to South East Asia, and the extreme western tip of the Australian region

Habitat:

It is mainly found in scrub jungles, fallow land adjacent to habitation, dry and moist deciduous forests and it prefer areas of moderate to heavy rainfall. Also occurs in degraded hill slopes and ridges, both, bare or denuded, mangrove swamps and, those covered with secondary growth. It also inhabits in the lightly wooded areas, home gardens, hedge rows, waste places and cultivated lands. It is found at all elevations up to 3500 feet but rarely seen higher.
