Description:

Small purplish-blue flower with a 4-lobed corolla. Leaves were in opposite pairs and very hairy.

Habitat:

Growing in the grass next to a pond.

Looks like speedwell, something in the Veronica genus https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veronica_(plant) Not familiar with NA ones sadly.
