Field Notes

Description:

A rare species of milkweed in the state of Iowa. Plants stay small and the flowers are a light green color.

Habitat:

This specimen was found in a cattle pasture full of fescue, red clover, white clover, and bird's-foot-trefoil which are all extremely invasive species.

Notes:

Found while observing butterfly populations in the cattle pasture.
