This is a firefly from the family Lampyridae. Quite a tricky beetle. I am not really sure if we can down to genus and/or species level. We definitely need an expert. Reminds me of a Photinus sp. http://v3.boldsystems.org/index.php/Taxbrowser_Taxonpage?taxid=103472 https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Lynn_Faust/publication/319401914_Honduran_and_Costa_Rican_Fireflies_and_the_Jungle_Adventures_in_Collecting_Them/links/59a805a40f7e9b41b78b5062/Honduran-and-Costa-Rican-Fireflies-and-the-Jungle-Adventures-in-Collecting-Them.pdf
Like Machi said Lampyridae not longhorn. Hope you're enjoying CR ;-)
Looks like some sort of firefly
Sería estupendo si se podría añadir esta foto (y otras de insectos de Costa Rica) a la misión "Insects of Costa Rica": http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/10022250
