Field Notes

Description:

Greetings on world bee day!!!
These tiny bees pollinate a great variety of native plants and vegetables and help farmers get a better yield from their cropes. Their help to humanity is immense. If bees are not here to help us, even the survival of mankind will be at stake. Unfortunately, the widespread use of pesticides in modern farming causes alarming drop in their population.
This particular friend's name is dammar bee and here they are swarming in the scent and pollen of the rose bush.

Habitat:

Spotted in my 8th floor balcony where I grow a rose plant.
