Description:

Lanceolate plant shape, Serrulate edges, its a netted pinnate, alternate leaves on the stem. It feel leathery and the stem and seems kind of sticky. It is being eaten by caterpillars. It has prop and stilt roots. It is about 9 in tall and 5 in wide.

Good pic and description! You might want to see if this has flowers. I have a suspicion this is simpoh air, a member of the dillenia family, but without pics, it might not be able to be identify it.
