Field Notes

Description:

The male Rufous-Tailed Rock-Thrush has a striking summer plumage which makes it easy to identify. The grey/blue head and bright orange chest are typical id features. Rusty/reddish-brown tail feathers (not shown in the picture) are typical features of the males and females and is where they get their name from.

Habitat:

Spotted at irrigated farm land in central Qatar.
