Description:
This Tree Stump Spider was spotted on the same tree as the the one shown in https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/899206202..... These spiders seem to be identical. So, I think it might be reasonable to assume that they are of the same variant form of Poltys illepidus (and since they are just a few feet apart, on the same tree, they might even be siblings). The way in which this one has attached itself to the twig, with silk threads, can be seen more clearly than in the other spotting mentioned above.
Habitat:
This Tree Stump Spider was spotted in the farm, on a dead twig of a Mango Tree (Mangifera indica Linn.) locally known as Mangang-kalabau. Plant information from http://www.stuartxchange.org/Mangga.html.......
