Field Notes

Description:

A European copper skink, wich I managed to catch, at the ancient Agora plateau, Goritsa hill, Volos Greece. The species is endemic, harmless and protected. It was released right after the pics. The different coloration and the small size of its tail, indicates that the skink escaped a predator's attack, "releasing" its tail.
