Field Notes

Description:

I could see one red flower near the top of the tree, probably 6 cm. in diameter. Most of the leaves are near the top of the tree. The leaf shape is probably elliptical or lanceolate. I'm not sure about the leaf venation or the leaf margin, but the edge of the leaf is not an arc. The things hanging from the tree are probably its fruit. The tree is about as tall as 4 or 5 adults.

Habitat:

A tropical rainforest in Singapore.
