Yes large like that and I'm not sure what they feed on exactly, but I don't think it's fruit trees.
Your welcome. I don't think that is the reason since they don't eat fruit. They mostly feed on the sap of a few species of large tree.
Thank you so much, 'dandoucette' for the ID suggestion. I have a fruit garden around my house, so this might be the reason why I found this species easily.
Wow, so lucky to have this come to your house! I love the lantern bugs but haven't seen this species yet.
