Field Notes

Description:

Red forehead and throat, black mask, one white patch that is below the red forehead and one from the bill along side of face. Light yellow underside. Black and white patterned back and wings. With a whit patch on wings. Black dagger like bill.

Habitat:

This bird prefers willow trees.

Notes:

An accidental bird to California. There has been a few spottings in the west.
