Description:

This butterfly belongs to the Nymphalidae family.

Habitat:

From southern Canada through northern South America. It has also been found in some Caribbean islands. Sometimes appears in the Solomon islands, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Australia, Sri Lanka, India, the Azores, Madeira, the Canary Islands and North Africa. It may also appear in the UK in some years as an accidental migrant
