Description:
This was a really cool find. The web of the spider was around 8 inches long, 5 inches wide, and 6 inches high. It was filled with lots of little, squirmy brown balls, which, upon closer inspection, turned out to be spider babies! It was encasing a plant, and the babies were around 1/2 a millimeter long. Strangely, we couldn't find the parent spider. (The little black thing in the first picture is part of the plant, and not a spider).
Habitat:
Secondary rainforest, under, and around a leaf.
Notes:
The babies did not move around a lot, and a few were immobile.
