Hi Christiane. There are quite a few skink species within this genus that are fairly similar to one another and also even different within their own species (depending on whether they are breeding/non-breeding males; females or juveniles).I am not an expert-just someone interested in nature and my reptile fieldguide is a bit out of date (1992!). I am, however, fairly confident in my id of this one. The other two could very well be the same species, as they are common throughout S.E.Qld. Have a look at https://www.google.com.au/search?q=open+litter+rainbow+skink&hl=en&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=ItdCUZPBOoePiAfi4IHIAw&ved=0CEUQsAQ&biw=1280&bih=899 and you might be able to see your skinks.
@ CarolynS.. Could you please have a look at this http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/12808248 and http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/12961153 skink for me? Any ID?
Your spotting is likely to be a female due to the white stripe on the flank. Recently reclassified - now one of four species that all used to be C.pectoralis.
