Field Notes

Description:

Aquatic insects. Adults are short-lived from a few minutes to a few days. Color: beige body. Purplish-black and green lace-like wings. Short flexible antennae. Males have two penises and females have two gonopores. Large compound eyes. Adults do not eat. (Summer 2012)

Habitat:

Meadow/open woodlands border on my property.

Almost Small Wonders, these were found in my "lost files". I uploaded 4 lost ones. Take a look.
That is what I first thought too when I first spotted it. I have never seen one before. LOL
