Field Notes

Description:

Small bug, speckled with brown and red. About 7 mm long. Family Rhopalidae. These look similar to some of the Lygaeidae, but have many more veins in the wings. Jadera spp. are also called Soapberry Bugs.

Habitat:

Came to the lights of a store, Axtla de Terrazas near Xilitla, San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
