Field Notes

Description:

This insect was found on the soil in a very shaded area. When I got close to it, it curled up into a small spiral. The spiral was about 3.5 inches in diameter. The insect was dark brown with light brown circles on its body. Both the head and the back were also dark brown.

Habitat:

This was found on the soil in the shaded area of the Singapore secondary rainforest. This was towards the center of the rainforest.
