Description:

Like the Spotted Salamanders, Jefferson's Salamanders move into ponds to breed following warm rain. However, in Indiana Jefferson's Salamanders usually are done breeding by the time Spotteds get into the ponds, but stragglers can be found in the pond alongside Spotteds.

Habitat:

Vernal pool in a hardwood forest.
