Field Notes

Description:

Low growing plant with tallest leaves about 5 inches from ground, edges of leaves are wavy, leaves are simple and oppositely positioned, leaves feel furry to the touch, largest leaves at the top of the plant

Habitat:

Right on the edge of the rocky path, about a quarter mile from the trailhead, in the shade of an unknown tree, compact soil with grasses next to and behind it with the rocky path in front
