Field Notes

Description:

Large, woody shelf Fungus about 4 to 5 inches in diameter. They were hard and smooth on the underside and very shaggy on the top side. They were growing on a dead tree stump.

Habitat:

Growing on a tree trunk, Heavy forest, Finca Argovia, Ruta de Cafe, near Nueva Alemania about 2 hours from Tapachula, Chiapas.
