Field Notes

Description:

Gray face with gray body fur. The sides of the neck have brown fur with white along the neck and belly.

Habitat:

This particular fox had a den in my garage under some boards. She finally decided to move her two young pups down the street to a more secure and quiet area.

Notes:

Update on 8 May 2016: I figured out why she was hanging out at my house for so long. I was finishing my run a couple days ago and low and behold there she was moving her pups. Finally got a decent picture of the local gray fox! There are at least two in the area. Big shadow comes from the bright flashlight to get the photo.

It looked mildly interested. Lol! After the pictures it quickly ran away. We see at least one each night on our evening walk.
I bet that was exciting for you! Great that it stayed still with the flashlight on it too!
