Description:

The lion is a species in the cat family. A muscular, deep-chested cat, it has a short, rounded head, a reduced neck and round ears, and a hairy tuft at the end of its tail.

Habitat:

The lion typically inhabits grasslands and savannas. The skull (lioness) was spotted in South Luangwa National Park.
