Description:

I knew this was a Woolly banded caterpillar because unlike any other caterpillar this is the only caterpillar that has a Black and orange coat. It is so hairy you could barely see its skin. I found it on an underside of a leaf where most wooly banded caterpillars are found. The Wooly Banded Caterpillar usually eats plants, flowers, leaves and other vegetation, like any other caterpillar would. Predators of the caterpillar are birds, yellow jackets, ladybird beetles, and even humans in some places of the world. It is considered a delicacy to them. Caterpillars are mostly located on the underside of leaves, which they feast on
