Description:

Lysimachia punctata is described from Holland. It is distributed in west, central and south Europe and Turkey.

Habitat:

Οccurs near water, in ditches, swamps, bogs and marshes.

Notes:

Greek name: Λυσιμαχία η διάστικτη.
Loosestrife was once widely used as a medicinal herb, but it has become less popular in modern times. The different species have various medicinal uses.
