Field Notes

Description:

This curry leaf has a spicy smell and a leathery texture. This leaf shape is ovate with the dimensions of 5cm long and 3 cm wide. It's leaf margin is entire with a netted pinnate venation.The leaf arrangement is sub-opposite.

Habitat:

Low to ground in the secondary rainforest at Singapore American school. This plant was spotted in a very dense area.

Notes:

The curry leaf is used in many asian cuisines because it adds flavour. In fact many dishes are named "curry" because they use this spice.
