Field Notes

Habitat:

Big cherry tree with partially ripe fruit. Tree surrounded by bamboo and other trees.

Notes:

After hectic feeding on the half ripe cherry fruit many bigger birds and even squirrels slow down and rest for sometime. Is't that the fruit after swallowing cause some discomfort or pain in their throat, or make them tipsy? The squirrel after feeding regularly dozes off for about half an hour. This's not observed among the smaller birds who bite off the fruit rather than swalliowing whole with the seed.
