Field Notes

Description:

Wingspen male: 50-70 mm Female: 50 -75 mm.

Habitat:

Forest edges, parks and gardens, hill tops, flatlands, coast, mountains, wetlands. Common throughout all South African biomes

Notes:

Flight period: Year-round. Mimic: Female Common Diadem. Saw it out my window and hunted it down to get a shot at it!
