Field Notes

Non-native insect killing hemlock trees. Insect itself is not white, but the white is a protective coating for itself

Habitat:

WNC is abundant with it, with special focus on the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Notes:

We had not treated our hemlocks yet this year. It comes back every year, but is especially bad right now.
