Field Notes

Description:

This guy was yellowish in color and had red-orange blotches extending down the length of his back. He was the prettiest bull snake I had ever seen! They average about 6 ft in length, but it isn't uncommon to see ones above 8 ft.

Habitat:

Found throughout the central US and Mexico. They are abundant throughout much of their range and are often encountered by humans.
