Thanks everyone. It is an orb weaver spider (Humpback/Humpbacked). My first and only spot of this type of spider.
Thanks everyone! I will have to send it into Bug Guide to get an exact ID.
Compare with Cindy's Spotting, http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/19479118
Carol, there are bristles on it's legs and the shape of the abdomen point towards a Lynx Spider.
Whatever it is, it sure is pretty!
Could be a wrap-around Spider... http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/19432197
Can anyone give me a clue what family of spider this is? I need a place to start. I thought it was possibly a Gea Heptagon Orb Weaver Spider. http://bugguide.net/node/view/718285/bgimage
