thanks Robert, I also though it was a Tawny Eagle. I vaguely remember the guide mentioning Tawny Eagle, and no other photo I have looks like it !! Was much too far away to see the colour of the eyes.
Hi Pam, best guess would be Tawny Eagle (Aquila rapax). There are several colour morphs. I cant quite pick from your image if it has a yellow eye but if it did then that would be my thoughts. Hope it helps. Robert
