Field Notes

Description:

Small gray dove with feathers that give it a scaly look. Longish tail. I was taken aback to see the scaly pattern that reminded me of the Inca dove (totally different species altogether). Eyes are lined sky-blue.

Habitat:

Just outside the hotel premises...actually where the cars drive up...the doves were absolutely unconcerned by the vehicles...they simply moved (not flew) out of the way (barely, that is.)
