•They eat fish, frogs, worms, small reptiles, crustaceans, snails, mice and insects.
•They breed in colonies with other species.
•They live in small groups and migrate short distances to sleep.

Swamps, marshes, estuaries, mangroves, saltmarshes, tidal channels, shallow bays, saltwater lagoons, grassy ponds, temporary pools, beaches, wet fields
-I saw this egret in São Paulo (Brazil)
