Field Notes

Description:

This spiky plant is a violet color on the outer edge and turns into dark purple and then green as it gets to the middle of the leaf. This plant looks like it has leaves coming out of all directions. Some are pointing up to the sky and some are pointing down. The leafs' shape is acicular and the margin is entire. The venation is parallel. The leaves are soft but feels a little waxy like the screen protector of a phone. Each leaf is about 30cm long and 1cm wide.

Habitat:

This plant was found in a secondary rainforest.
