Description:
Leucauge is a spider genus with pantropical distribution. The spiders also are known as "horizontal orb spiders". They build inclined or horizontal orb webs, although vertical webs can sometimes be seen. They build complete orb web without a stabilimentum.
Habitat:
Spotted in a flowerbed in a large semi-urban yard and garden adjacent to a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest.
