Field Notes

Description:

This cisticola is sparrow-sized, grey-brownish in general appearance.

Habitat:

Savanna like habitat, with plenty of cultivated fields. River, with corresponding vegetation also close by.

Notes:

Difficult to ID this one - this genus of African warblers is notoriously difficult to identify in normal conditions; and the poor quality of these shots does not help there (shots were taken from a slowly moving car...). Friend of mine thought it could be the C. cantans or Singing cisticola (range and habitat fit); I'm in a total loss here.
