Description:

One of the most numerous of true seals. Their rear feet are more for swimming and not for walking like sea lions, so the move on land with forward wiggle motion. These seals unlike sea lions are earless so they lack the earflap. Found on both coasts of the northern hemisphere. Growing up to 6 feet and can weigh up to 370 lbs. The colors can vary from brown, grey and tan, all with some degree of darker or lighter spots.

Habitat:

Can be found usually laying on large rocks off shore or along shores. They can be found also swimming in marinas and harbors.
