Field Notes

Description:

The 'leaves' were brown and brittle, probably dead, but I noticed something interesting. Unlike other plants that have multiple leaves on a single stem, when this plant dried up, it curled around the stem it was growing on. The dried up leaves were tiny, no bigger than 1 cm. The stem was roughly 10 cm in length.

Habitat:

Growing at about eye level. About 5 stems per branch. About 20 branches.

Notes:

Many were littering the ground, in the same state, or the individual leaves pulled off.
