Field Notes

Description:

A very fiesty little wasp, small less than one inch long. small narrow body dark tan colours with black and yellow accents. Big eyes.

Habitat:

See in grass in an urban garden.

Notes:

I love the little creatures, but certain events in childhood make me nervous around wasps. This one made me really nervous, he seemed to be very aware of me, clambered through the grasses towards my camera and gave me the impression that if the could just take wing he would have me for lunch... so I didn't stay around to get in close or improve the focus... :)
