Description:
Juvenile Pipehorse, around 2.5 cm.
Pipehorses are like a cross between seahorses (the face) and pipe fish (elongated body). They are usually well camouflaged, anchoring their tails on sea grasses or algae, swaying their body to mimic the seagrasses/algae. As they get bigger, they also tends to have appendages on their body.
Habitat:
Sandy bottom and among seagrasses, mostly in the shallows
