Field Notes

Description:

A species closely related to S. granulata but bearing bulbils in the axils of the stem leaves, as well as at the base of the 20-40cm tall stems. Leaves l-2cm long, reniform to cordate, crenate glandular-hairy. Flowers in congested cymes of three to four, the white petals 7-10mm long. Mountainous areas of central and eastern Europe.

Habitat:

Meadow near Axioupolis (Kilkis, Greece).
