Description:

adult male - this species has a wingspan of 15-17cm (5.9-6.7in)... was discovered on Borneo in 1855 by the legendary explorer and naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace... and it was named after James Brooke, the then Rajah of Sarawak.!
T.brookiana is the national butterfly of Malaysia.!

Habitat:

hillside vegetation approximately 833 m (2,733 ft) above sea level
