Field Notes

Description:

The Black-throated Green Warbler is New World warbler that migrates between North and South America. They are often seen high up in the forest canopy, gleaning small insects from the vegetation.

Habitat:

This individual was in an upland deciduous forest south of its breeding range.

Notes:

Because of the cool weather, this individual and other warblers were feeding below the canopy in the understory.
