Description:

Invasive species.

Habitat:

Found along Big Slough Trail in wooded area, Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge. Wooded area include yaupon, other Chinese Tallow and other invasive species.

Notes:

Chinese tallow is a problem invasive species on Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge. The colors of the newly emerging leaves shows how it was attractive as an ornamental tree. Second photo shows the general appearance of the tree bark.
