Field Notes

Description:

Speckled and pitted Stink Bug, about 1 cm long. Large formidable spines on each side of the thorax. Family Pentatomidae. The little orange things attached to him just don't look like mites. Wish I had a sharper picture of them.

Habitat:

Came to the lights of a store, Axtla de Terrazas near Xilitla, San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
